The State of Florida currently has no laws regulating court reporters. The Florida Court Reporters Association (FCRA) is working hard towards certification of court reporters with regulation through the Supreme Court of Florida. Because our reporters are professionals who take their careers seriously, many years ago they elected to take and pass the voluntary test administered by the National Court Reporters Association, and now carry the designation of RPR, Registered Professional Reporter.
Our highly-qualified staff of reporters have many years of full-time reporting experience on many subject matters. For many years we have reported all kinds of testimony for the Florida Bar Ethics and Grievance Office ranging from small hearings before local referees all the way to large public hearings at the convention center. We have reported arbitrations for the NASD, Florida Power Corporation, public hearings for the USEPA, as well as virtually thousands of depositions many of which were highly technical. We are on the list of approved court reporters for all Hillsborough and Pinellas County state court civil proceedings which include motion hearings and jury trials. Our individual reporters have anywhere from five to twenty years experience and each one is dependable, professional and precise.
